Donations
NOTE: Here’s a link to the original donations page & donations blog.
In the run-up to the launch of Techzi.net, we ran a fundraising campaign, which certainly got us noticed. We received praising comments, and Fred Cavazza’s French smitings. Either way, whether it was our sheer cheek, or our use of a Web 2.0 widget, we’re still not sure, but it was a great success, and thanks to you guys, we’re here, up and running!

Quite frankly I feel honoured that so many of you took the time to donate so generously. Big thanks? Well, all of you! I had a flick through all of the donators websites, and boy were some of them interesting… Shout-outs? Again, all of you! In particular? On the Internet Marketing side of things, Michael Cheney has taught me everything I know in person, and has always been a great help to me during my time blogging. Mark Seremet for constantly giving me feedback on my work. The good, the bad the ugly. I’ve heard it all. Colbert Low too, for really kicking off my blogging career. At the end of the day, I owe it all to him.
Through the course of January, we raised nearly $1,500. I think it’s safe to say that we won’t be shutting down on you guys anytime soon.
Infact, we’re due to have in a couple of new part-time bloggers in 2007, as well as a host of competitions, product reviews, new catch-ups, live blogging events and more!
Stay tuned… Techzi hasn’t even started yet.
UPDATE: As of February 24th, we’ve just received a new donation, of $500, from a very generous Michel Fortin! Thanks man! This brings the pot total now to almost $2,000. If my math is correct, it’s $1,988!
UPDATE: As of February 25th, thanks to CJCM, we’ve hit $2000! Nice going man!
UPDATE: The date is March 9th and another dollar has rolled in. Every little helps!
