AkihabaraNews are reporting that today, at the HK Electronics & Computer Fair, the first iPhone (aftermarket!?!??!) products were unveiled publicly, despite a lack of specifications. The slight problem being that nobody actually has an iPhone hasn’t put off eager accessory makers, keen to jump the gun and make a bomb, selling a wide variety of iPhone shaped/branded/reminiscent accessories. First up - hideous cases. Shoulda guessed, really. At least they’re not plastered with ‘Hello Kitty‘ though, I guess.
Domo arigatio Mr. PC! The Japanese do “I’m a Mac” ads too, so it seems…
For those who are wondering, my limited knowledge of the Japanese language *cough* Google Translator! *cough* tells me that the Mac in the advert used the informal Japanese for ‘hello’, whereas the PC used the far more traditional ‘Konnichiwa’. That is how you spell it, right?
Moving back to the English language, it seems Novell have gone down the viral advertising root, spoofing the highly popular Mac ads that we see all around is, in now-a-days modern culture.
She needs a haircut! Anthony thinks she’s just a ‘cute chick’ though. The YouTube community seemed rather amused also with the comments they left the video.
I think the Linux girl should be about 40 pounds overweight to reflect the awful bloated Novell java apps.
And that’s the end of that… A Zi Media update is coming sometime today! Check the new poll and get yourself high on sugar-coated HTML tags before the launch on Friday!
This hilarious Steve Jobs/George Bush parody is so darn hilarious that even if it’s not 100% tech news/ranting child related, I couldn’t not post this. Just check it out…
Of course, even behind the very funny video, a serious message lies. Back to the funnyness of the situation, check this comment I noticed below the video.
Repost this 6 times and you will
see the taco bell dog run across
your screen. If you repost this 8 times Ronald McDonald comes out and
attacks the taco bell dog.
It is really funny and it works!!
You have to try it!!
Gizmodo played a very smart move, acting as the ‘dumb consumer’ in the latest Apple date leak. Matt Buchanan, ProBlogger, hopped along to his local Apple Store (Soho), and asked various employees about “that new Apple TiVo”. The employees politely explained that infact, it wasn’t just another “TiVo” and that they ship on February 27th. Oops! Somebody let the cat out the bag…
According to Matt, it’s not a rock solid date, but it’s all we’ve got to go on so far. Nice digging!
It seems that the Microsoft website has an incredibly bad lag, after suffering the Digg effect, for accidentally recommending users buy ‘GarageBand for Mac’. As I quote from the Microsoft website…
Part of iLife ‘05, a suite of integrated applications (including iMovie and iDVD), GarageBand is a popular program that turns a Mac computer into a professional-quality recording studio for musicians. The intuitive interface lets music lovers create and record music by selecting from the more than 50 virtual instruments (including a convincing grand piano) and more than 1,000 professional-quality audio loops that can be used in a new composition. Players can also attach instruments to their computer, such as music keyboard or electric guitar (via analog input or microphone), which can be recorded, edited, and mixed together with other tracks. GarageBand users can also add more instruments and loops with any of four Jam Packs (U.S.$99). These expansion discs each add more than 2,000 additional loops and dozens of new software instruments, among other features.
Incredible what hiring an editor would do for the Microsoft website. Sheesh! What a company blunder! They were so kind to even include a link to the Apple iLife Product Page! Either this is a real good show of faith from the Redmond giant, someone with a laser has it pointed at Bill’s forehead, this is reverse-psychology, or Mr Gates has finally cracked, we won’t know tell Microsoft lets us know. Very funny, whatever the outcome. Admittedly, as a Windows user though, there are very few decent Windows audio editing tools, and GarageBand for Mac does the job perfectly. Sourced from Digg.
I’m not one for taking sides, but even as a Windows Vista Ultimate buyer, after watching this video, it’s hard to score Microsoft any points on the innovation scale.
50,000,000 lines of code? Sheesh… They really are branching out!
After my very sarcastic ‘Great day!’ post earlier, it turns out that actually, today has been great! With the help of 22-year old entrepreneur, Nate Whitehill, I now have my own Media Temple hosting, courtesy of InfinFX!
