Might Mouse 2.0
Apple’s Might Mouse - despite it’s excellent, simplistic approach to what can sometimes be a complicated matter, lacks in some areas that other mice (see Logtitech MX Revolution) excell above and beyond in. Enter… (Drumroll please!) The Mighty Mouse 2.0! In a recently uncovered patent, plans to bring an iPhone style multi-touch sensetive mouse to our desktops might not be all that far away. So much high-tech innovation for a simple mouse? Hardly. We like to accesorize in style. My MX Revolution has completely changed the way I look at comuter prepherials and the Optimus is set to storm the keyboard stage in just a few short months - making mince meat out of the competition.

The Next-Gen Mighty Mouse allows for (from what I can make out) different actions be assigned to button clicks. Keeping in line with the mighty mouse’s flat being - it’s smooth, rounded, unblemished appearance, it appears that the touch-sensors will be placed beneath the shiny surface of the device, reacticing to pressure when applied and sensing movement. Still waiting for my touchscreen Mac Pro, this will have to do in the meantime.
Pity not even a ’sketchy’ release date was rumoured though. All the same, with it being Apple - expect to see one (or two) surface within the hour. Mighty man, signing out. via AI.

Why dont they just use the normal PC mouse?
Very comfortable…

The MX is freaking comfy - it’s moulded to my hand shape. What’s better?

A guy at my work experience company has a MacBook Pro, and he uses a Mighty Mouse. We were looking at the article about this patent on MacRumours today.
I’d like to see it in action..

Heh… Sweet. My auntie has a MacBook - should convince her to get a mighty mouse.

I don’t think so with the Optimus. They’re only making 400 or so.

I thought the plan was 400 a MONTH. Correct me if I’m wrong.

I have already used the new mighty mouse. It feels like it is a single button mouse, but if you press the left or right, it does the correct thing. The is also a side pressure sensor to detect when you squeeze it. The mighty mouse even has a scroll ball.
Along with the bluetooth in macbooks (and pro), you can easily get a wireless mouse without the use of a precious USB port.

MORE buttons? I have never clicked anything with anything but my index finger. Seems weird to do it any other way, but Apple is a smart cookie, er, fruit. If anyone can change the way we do things, it’s Apple.
