Making Money Online - Follow Up
A while back I asked an extremely simple question.
Who’s making money online?
The response was incredible. Through that one little question - I’ve met some incredible individuals. Some are making money online, and others are simply going round in circles, completely confused.
And again I’ll say it… “Making money online is a heck of a lot easier than people would like you to think… Sure, it really does help to have a great guide, whatever market you’re going into, but how do you think them guys worked out the tactics themselves? They learned through trial and error. Like me, they probably wasted hundreds and hundreds of dollars in the process.” How does this involve you? With tonnes of product out there, promising to teach you how to make yourself rich in ‘4 easy steps’ (which usually contain rubish such as ’sell your blood plasma for cash becoz omg i made like 5 dollars in one hour!’), it really is hard to know what products are the ‘real deal’, and which ones are complete garbage.
I’m not trying to pitch you any products here, so don’t get yourself in a tizz. I’m simply pointing out that a small portion of products are brilliant - others are not so great. My advice? Ask around. Don’t go and blow $100 on a product which turns out to be complete garbage. Ask people on forums such as The Warrior Forum, what these products are actually like. Just because a product has 101 testimonials, don’t presume they’re all entirely true. My general rule, is that unless a testimonial has a full name and own-domain website associated with it, I’ll take it with a pinch of salt or disregard it all together. Why? Complete and utter scams like Get Google Ads Free (which for the record IS a complete waste of cash) can’t get any real people to actually go out their way and make a real testimonial. Why? By making a testimonial - you put your reputation on the line, and in the Internet Marketing business, reputation is everything.
Notice how all the ‘Get Google Ads Free’ testimonials have no websites associated with them - just a name. Use your common sense, people. If something looks dodgy, smells like a rat and makes outrageous claims, chances are something’s fishy - which is EXACTLY why you need to ask people for their opinions. It really is just a case of using your head. Don’t be evil.

Ahh, but you’ve got the naivity of youth there I’m afraid. It’s easy when you know how…
Sadly, most people dont. And they’ve got little money left after spending several thousand pounds on a shoddy “get rich quick” pack by an idiot with a massive list, and slick sales patter.
For you and I, who’ve jumped the hoops and learned the hard way (good old fashioned trial and error), it’s not so bad. But I still make mistakes. I planned to have a book out by the end of April. I’m just finishing it up now - editting and trimming takes a long time, when you’ve got other things on the go to.
On a slightly different note, I’m sure you’ve already read it, but just in case you haven’t, check out the post by Pete on Engadget about his dad. It’s the best thing you’ll read in a while.
Always treasure your dad, and your family in general. I realise that since you’re still young, you can’t really understand it, but one day they won’t be around. As you get older, you’ll appreciate it more and more. But always send your mum and dad cards on mothers and fathers day. Sign each one and include a photo of yourself, and when you have one, your partner, because they stay around. A phonecall doesn’t.
And, one day, you won’t have a dad to send them to.
:) Regards,
Me

Vibrant Media (IntelliTXT) is the most profitable service for me, paying around $100/month for MacMegasite. FeedBurner pays only slightly less. Google AdSense pays an occasional $100 every 3-4 months when it accumulates enough. Amazon Associates pays an occasional $20 or so gift certificate every 1-2 quarters.

Would that be the Feedburner Ad Network? I guess we can sorta class that as Google now.
I’ll have to look into IntelliTXT - lots of my mates are using it online now, though personally I’d stayed away seeing as I’m not overly keen on the format of the ads.
AdSense produced startling results initially - but the bravado quickly slipped and I’ve never had much success since, apart from after implementing the methods in AdSense Videos, and even then, after a few months my earnings were back to normal.
Amazon? Their aff program rocks when coupled with AdWords. You gotta try it…

Thats exactly right.
There are so many products out there that tell you that you could make money, with little effort.
Nice post.

There are some absolutely FANTASTIC products out there - problem is they’re massively overshadowed by the less desirable ones, either because they offer better affiliate payouts or because people are in it to be bribed.
For example - a great product launching today, Project Black Mask, is in a completely different league to some of the other so called ‘google guides’ out there. Most are full of re-hashed rubish. Black Mask focuses on hardcore from the source tactics. It’s ingenious.
