Facebook - Do you poke?
Any Facebook users out there? I need your help… I’d heard miracles about Facebook being simple. The inital design? Simple enough. I used the network mainly last year when writing for Web 2.0 blog Profy, but since then, it appears that Mark Zuckerberg’s “lil ol’ experiment” has exploded. 3rd party development widgets here and there, cluttered profiles, fancy new features and a whirlwind of options. Perhaps the bombardment of settings and options isn’t quite so invasive, distracting or off-putting as MySpace’s slow, buggy, crashing interface, but nevertheless, the plethora of choices has me stumped.
So why am I asking for your help? I’m giving a flying whirlwind tour of the social network this coming Monday on BBC Radio Manchester. If anyone feels like giving an ol’ man a hand - feel free to contact me with all your Facebooky knowledge. 
It’s past 11PM and I’m stumped. I’ll leave you with a little good news on the development of Affiliate Defined (being that substantial progress is being made), and some food for thought regarding the future of Facebook. Adios, Amigos!

Hmm… Not sure if this really is ‘news’. Just got the call from the BBC today. If you’re talking about the facebook changes - I’m about 9 months late on the scene. LOL!

4 Easy Rules for Facebook- By Andrew Sommerich ( http://www.someandrew.com/?p=124 )
1. You can only view friends’ Profiles. You can only view people that you search’s brief info (Age, Sex, Name, School). If this person approves you, you may view their full profile.
2. No HTML/CSS Profiles. You have to stick to the Default Facebook Profile design.
3.Groups/ networks (I’ll call ‘em groups). You can join any country, school, event as a group. You can create your own unofficial school group and join that (Mine’s not listed, so I set up one for my school), and you can also make a group for a page of jokes, group of friends, or an Evil EMPIRE!!
Or anything else.
4. Apps. Apps are facebook’s widgets. You simply go to any website with an app, and click “Add to Facebook”. Then, it appears in your profile. Pretty Simple, Eh?
