Free eBook Bonus - I Love You Guys

Google Cash Guide - Free!

Google Cash Strikes Back. It looks and sounds like something out of a Star Wars movie. The reality is, this FREE report is out of this world… In a manner of speaking. Best selling author, Chris Carpenter of Google Cash, unveils a system he uses to make thousands of dollars online every month - using Google. Sure - you could go off and pay $100 for some other eBook teaching you how to make millions with AdWords (trust me - in my early days, I fell into the trap), or alternatively you can pick up Chris’ eBook. It’s on the house. You guys deserve it. I’ll be perfectly honest… Although Chris only spends 5 hours a week working on his process and still manages to make tens of thousands of dollars, I’ve not quite made that much using his tactics yet. ;) I guess getting into the swing of things using his methods takes time - but living proof his advice works, comes in the form of a 15-year old Mexican girl (who barely speaks English). In her first month, she reportedly made over $1,000. Pretty cool, huh?

I make money from Affiliate Programs. It takes time. It takes effort. If you’re looking for a guaranteed get rich quick guide? This isn’t for you. If you’re looking for some free, quality advice and inside tactics? You found the right place. That keyword ‘free’ is important. ;) You can grab the report and two bonus videos now, for free, before the offer ends.

I like freebies. I like money. Freebies that make me money? Can’t beat ‘em. Enjoy!

The ‘Google Life’

Google At Heart

Google At Heart

Google. A verb. A noun. A revolution. For years - we’ve used Google more and more in our everyday lives. First, for finding and serving us what we want via means of search. It took it’s time, but Google is now gradually dominating e-mail too - with GMail and Google Apps Integrated Mail. iGoogle - the user customisable homepage. Google Calendar - the flexible online planner. Google Docs - Word processing online in style. Google Spreadsheets - One step futher than Excel. Google Video & YouTube - Online media domination. Google Maps - On the fly mapping 2.0. Picasa - Complete media management. Google Pages - Piczo just got owned. Google Glossary - Who needs books? Instantaneous results for those of us who struggle with our alphabet.

Google Partners

Firefox - Complete browsing domination. 80% of TechZi traffic now stems from users of the browser. Skype - Still using MSN? AIM? You’ve not experienced instant messaging… I daresay that we’ll see Joost (once out of Beta) join the list of Google partner products destined to rule the world.

Being A Googler

Productive. Creative. Laid-back. The results? See the above ‘Google At Heart’ section. Free food. Free medical care. Free haircuts. Random bouncy balls. Take your dog to work. Create a ‘chaos tower’. Have some fun. Make something big. Collapse of governments? Google ‘Infant hats’? What the heck. Like I said before - be creative. Think outside the box.

Ever wanted to meet some of the guys who work inside the Googleplex? Now’s your chance. Click play right above to set the fun in motion. If you ask me - the Google MV HQ looks not only fun to work at but has an incredible atmosphere.

Oprah sounds a tad jealous, no? ;)

When I grow up? I want to work for Google. I love fun. I love work. I like the sound of uber-productiveness in a fun, clean, modern enviroment. I like the sound of free gourmet food. I like the sound of getting to work alongside some of the greatest minds in the industry. I’ve already started house-hunting in and around Mountain View. It’s an expensive area, but heck. I’d pay to work at Google.

The Train - Roundup

Alexa ranks. Undoubtedly useless. The fact remains, advertisers still turn to them for details about sites. Why? Who knows. They’re easy to game, highly unaccurate and overall are generally mad. Why do we set such high standards by them? Who the heck knows. Enter… Alexa Link Train! ;0

Google Facelift?

UPDATE: Ignore this post - seems like I’m very late on the scene. ;)

Google Facelift?

Click on the above image for a larger view. Seems like Google has got itself a nice little facelift. Like I said, it’s little - but that doesn’t make it ‘uncool’. Who else notices that their ‘Google Personalized Homepage’ has been renamed ‘iGoogle’, or is it just me? Smite me if I’m wrong, but this is the first time I’ve noticed… Seems like more changes are going down at Google, too. Who else heard about the cross-language search engine stories? Seems like Google might be in for some trouble, though.

Barely Bearable or Cute Casing?

Barely Bearable or Cute Casing?

In recent months, dressing up your gadgets in style has become someone of a fad amongst geeks, and non-geeks alike. iPod underwear (for your iPod, not you) is now common place and new designs and cases are popping up everyday. Some are great, vibrant designs, whereas others are mangled meshes of a ‘could-be’ design that should never have made it through quality control. To be perfectly honest, I’ve stayed away from buying anything too… Weird? - Opting instead to go for a plain ol’ rubberized anti-shock casing that’s proven to withstand drops that others could not.

Bright lively colours are all the rage and when combined with cute ‘ickle’ animal faces, you’ve got yourself a pretty hip looking design. You’ll either love it or hate it. A bit like marmite, I guess… ;) Not only are the designs bright (and dare I say cheerful?), they manage to infuse the standard protection we’d expect to see from any old case, as well as bumping up the cuteness factor. Each skin has full screen & click-wheel protection, comes with a nice neck strap and comes with a headphone storage-wrap. All for $41. You might want to check these cute biscuits out. While we’re on the subject, you can also pick up some grossly over-priced earbud accessories for $4 a piece ($16 for a pack of four). Of course - if Hello Kitty is your thing, drop down dead and run off to your retailer now. :)

Me? I’m a massive fan of the skins. ‘Addictively cute’. Not so much of the earbuds. All the same, worth a mention and a half. Thanks Matt.

MacBook Update

It was a year or so ago that the MacBook hype first started. Since? I’ve become a MASSIVE fan of ‘em. Speedy, shiny and small, the MacBook is my all-time favourite portable device. Much as I love the MacBook though, I find it hard to justify with Apple, how slapping a $400 extra price-tag onto a product and changing its colour is fair, in the slightest. Sure - you’re getting yourself an extra 40GB harddrive space, but at the cost of what? That’s $100 per 10GB. When you think you can pick up a 320GB HDD for the same price, it kinda makes you wonder…

Mac Update

^^ I’m lazy. ;) Click above for a larger view.

Super-Site Review - Win a mascot at BloggingTips.com

Win a mascot at BloggingTips.com

Kevin Muldoon. Freaking genius scientist, mathematician, web-designer and as of now, ProBlogger. Kevin is a fellow Brit, from way up in mountainous Scotlands, he pumps out content on a regular basis for his BloggingTips.com blog, accompanied by it’s lovely little ‘BT Mascot’. Launched in March of this year, the blog is already on track to become one of the most popular blogs around. Just take a look at these Alexa statistics!

Win a mascot at BloggingTips.com

For the record (despite how much it might seem it), Super Kevin is not an entrepreneur, mogul, net wiz or guru, despite seemingly looking like one. Moving back to the blog itself, the layout is uber-clean and the 3-column layout makes a refreshing change, with a left-hand sidebar, a main middle content area and then a right-hand column. Funnily enough, the design much reminds me of the original mock-up TechZi design - before we ended up getting a pro on the job. Much as I like the idea behind Kevin’s layout - it just doesn’t quite work for me. Perhaps we’re all so used to glossy, shiny websites now, or maybe it’s the pink-yellow-blue-red-black-white design that’s turning me off. Either way, I’m sure Kevin will take the opportunity to use my criticsm in a constructive way. He should also probably note that the page renders horribly in IE6 - just thought I’d give a heads-up!

You can win a mascot at BloggingTips.com of your very own - just like Kevin’s spandex version of himself (see below). Personally, I think it’s pretty darn snazzy. What d’you think? Let’s face it any how. If you could win a mascot at BloggingTips.com, by writing a simple review like I have, would you really trust yourself to pass up the opportunity? Heck - even John Chow’s jumped on board! Kevin is taking his new ProBlogger-killer seriously, having already spent over $1,000 on advertising, and $1,250 on a domain name, it’s only a matter of time before we’ve got ourselves a Darren Rowse 2.0. ;)

Win a mascot at BloggingTips.com

Kevin owns a host of web-related business, including bargain domain site 815Domains - the domain registrars who charge a convenient… $8.15! Of course - I’ve looked now at statistics, design, layout, background, Kevin, Kevin’s background, some more of Super Kevin and even Kevin in spandex, but the real question remains. What kind of quality is the blog? Want a one-worded answer? Wicked.

Kevin first contacted me back in April wanting to advertise on TechZi. We lost touch (darn Thunderbird ;) ) and only recently did we resume talks. In the meantime though, Kevin’s become more than just an ‘advertiser’, but also a pretty cool friend. He loves travelling about and meeting new people and is currently holed up abroad, as a result of his travels. BloggingTips sports an impressive 208 blog subscribers and even now Kevin is out-of-town, is being regularly updated with fresh advice and content.

iSaw - iCame - iBroke. The iPod - My iLife.

The iPod Lifeline

iPod feeling sorry for itself? Sad face? Broken hard-drive? Cracked screen? Broken battery? Broken buttons? Water damage? Snapped ‘hold’ button? Just plain dead? Buy My Broken iPod could be just the site for you! Judgin by the ‘instant quotes’ given on the website, the company behind BMBIPOD pays pretty decent cash, for you to simply trade in a broken lil’ iPod. Presumably, they then fix the music players and flog them on auction sites such as eBay, though no ‘official’ statement is given on the website.

We pay you top dollar for your damaged Apple iPod MP3 Player. We don’t care if the iPod has a cracked screen, the hard drive busted or shows a sad face, buttons don’t work, is acting weird, is old and creepy, has water damage, or if the battery is dead. 3 easy steps turn your broken iPod into CASH!

Pretty snazzy stuff, huh? Just select your iPod model from the drop-down box (note broken 1G iPods only sell for $2 or $3 as opposed to a broken 5G 30GB iPod which fetches a nice $60) and select it’s condition (working/broken). If you selected ‘working’, you’ll be taken to a page on whihc you’re asked to describe whether your iPod is still packaged, in excellent (mint) condition, or is slightly used. If, however, you selected the broken option, you’ll be asked to state what’s wrong with your little iMenace and will then be given an instant quote.

Seems like a great alternative to the good ol’ blender! ;)

$100 TV-Watch. Fancy, huh?

$100 TV-Watch. Fancy, huh?

Wristwatches these days are evolving rapidly, having just recently seen Nike launch their own range of iPod watches, it’s gonna take something to get us hyped now. So what’s this, buried in the geek closet? I do believe it’s a 1.5″ OLED wristwatch, sporting a full colour 128×128 resolutioin for streaming TV direct to you, wherever you happen to be. Personally, I’d find staring for hours on end at a tiny screen like this tiresome, but if you simply need to catch the news headlines, I could see why it’d be useful.

The built-in microphone allows for seamless recording of notes/conversations discreetly, and comes with 2GB of on-board memory to keep the fishes at bay. Thankfully, the battery charges via USB, so no more silly Li-Ion explosions. ;) Sporting a 7-hour on-the-fly video playback time, (presuming you watch no more than 1 hour of tiny-TV a day - afterall, who would?) you can easily get a weeks worth of use outta this watch. Free conversion software is also downloadable from the ThinkGeek website, so you can convert any odd formats you might have lying around, into MP3/WMA.

For just under $100, this watch is a winner. You can grab one now from ThinkGeek.

Performancing - Meh New Job

Just a quick update really, to let you know that the dudes (and duettes) over at Performancing.com have hired me as one of their few new resident bloggers. I’ll be joining Ryan Caldwell (Have Laptop, Will Travel), Liz Strauss (SOB - Not literally. ;) ), Raj Dash (spiffy PHP dude ), Corsarius (World’s Most Experienced ProBlogger?) and Brian Gardner (Wordpress theme designer). It’s an honour to be writing for a Technorati Top 15 blog and it’ll be a bit of a change of scenery, at least for a while, but all the same, I’d appreciate it if you’d head on over and comment on my first ever post there, debating the pros and cons of theme sponsorship.

Take a look and lemme know what you think. I’d best be getting off to bed now though (11PM). My parents are yelling and my feet are getting cold. Toodles! :)
