Apple TV Shipping Date

AppleTV - Formerly known as iTV

Gizmodo played a very smart move, acting as the ‘dumb consumer’ in the latest Apple date leak. Matt Buchanan, ProBlogger, hopped along to his local Apple Store (Soho), and asked various employees about “that new Apple TiVo”. The employees politely explained that infact, it wasn’t just another “TiVo” and that they ship on February 27th. Oops! Somebody let the cat out the bag… ;)

According to Matt, it’s not a rock solid date, but it’s all we’ve got to go on so far. Nice digging!

I think that Apple was planning on shipping it a bit earlier but Windows Vista has been giving them some problems. Same reason they are telling iTunes users to wait a bit before they upgrade to vista, the next update of iTunes will fix all of that though.

It’s quite possible I suppose… If I were Apple, I’d hold off pushing out that update though. Prevent people from upgrading to Vista. ;) I’ll just use my laptop to update my library in the mean-time if this is the case.

Hi!
About the TiVo: I heard about some other news: that TiVo and Amazon have somehow made an agreement on a new service. I guess it was downloading movies from Internet and saving them directly on the TV sets. This has to connect the PCs and the TVs (something which has been connected for some time now, I guess).
And… hey, a really nice blog and info on ProBlogger. I’m for the first time here, but I’m impressed! Good luck with further work! I’ll visit later.
