Giant Banana Orbiting Earth!

Crazy as it seems, a French-Canadian Artist who is planning to launch a giant banana shaped blimp into orbit around Earth, hovering over Texas, has claimed to have already received tens of thousands of dollars to help him achieve his goal. When Cesar Saez was questioned as to why on Earth anyone would want to be orbited by a giant helium-filled 300-meter, $1 million dollar fruit, the Artist replied simply that “Texas is as symbolic as the banana… The banana has a lot of symbolism: phallic, humour, and political, too.”
I agree that whilst a giant banana would be great (Why am I saying this?), it would be a total waste of tax-payers money, particularly when money is so in-need in other parts of the state, the country, the world. Forget about bananas in space… Paul Strauss, owner of Technabob agrees with me, and pointed out that they may as well ‘launch a giant penis into space’ if they have no better reason than the one given above. ‘Texas is as symbolic as the banana’. Seriously, what the heck?

Just imagine if extra-terrestrial activity managed to reach earth… what the hell would they think if they saw that?
